Orchid earrings, yes please!

Yesterday my hands were tingling, begging me to let them
create something.

The results were surprising!

Apart from helping my little one string beads and transforming
them into a necklace or bracelet I had never made any jewellery.
So you can imagine how surprised I was with myself when I
made these pretty orchid earrings.

I wore these when I went to pick the kiddies up from school
and got quite a few compliments.
One of my friends even asked me if I could
 make her a pair.
How cool is that!
Very proud of my accomplishment!
Thanks you so much my creative little hands.
I think I'll make many many more.

Who lives in my daughters room?

A couple a weeks ago I was talking about the sculptures I used to make.
Well this one above is definitely my favourite creation.
Emily LOVES her as well, and this little forest
nymph now happily lives in her room...along with a few others.

My daughter LOVES dragons, so I decided to make her her
very own sculpture, dragon included. The dragon had to be pink, of course!
Needless to say she loves it.
They again have a special place in her room.

The princess and the frog, golden ball included.
About a year ago this was her favourite story, so how
could I not make her one of these.

We called this one Alice (in wonderland).
Sadly she is no longer with us.
Emily dropped her and her head fell off.
Guess the queen of hearts demand came true there when she
shouted "off with her head!".

throwing you love hearts

throwing you love hearts

A couple of years ago I had this passion for sculpting.
I had a big box full of clays
and every day I used to get my clays out and create something.

I found that it helped me to relax and I
just loved seeing how my hands created something
out of a block of clay.

I've sculpted a lot of animals, fairies,
people and even made some into magnets.

After a year or so my box of clays started coming out
less and less
And now....well
not at all anymore.

I still have all my sculptures, stored in a box in the garage.
Some were even lucky enough to find a permanent
place somewhere in the house.

I remember I made some valentine girls
and since valentines day is coming up
I thought I'd share them with you.

blowing kisses

bringing love

just the two of us

giving you my heart

I hope you like my little creations.

Maybe I should get my clay out again...
